We have been learning about ANZAC biscuits. Today we tried some. We found out that a small amount of money from each packet of biscuits sold sometimes goes to help war veterans. Money raised from poppy sales also goes to help war veterans.
1. Who made the first ANZAC biscuits and why were they probably made?
2. How long did it take for supplies to reach the Anzac's in Gallipoli?
3. What was the problem with the army biscuits the soldiers were originally issued with?
4. Why didn't the ANZAC biscuits sent to the soldiers contain eggs?
5. Why were the biscuits packed into air tight tins?
Welcome to Term 3
Our Inquiry Topic for Term 3 is: "Are people the same where ever you live in the world?" We are going to be looking at different cultures and values. We will have a Cultural Day on the 17th September where you are welcome to come and see the work we have been doing.
