Our Inquiry Topic for Term 3 is: "Are people the same where ever you live in the world?" We are going to be looking at different cultures and values. We will have a Cultural Day on the 17th September where you are welcome to come and see the work we have been doing.

Reminders for the week commencing Monday 21st June

Well done to this weeks Maths whizzes!
Ezra, Jay, Koben and Sukhmanpreet have all been working hard to break numbers into parts and apply the Compensation Strategy and the Place Value Strategy to help them solve multiplication problems. Well done!

If you have not yet brought your Spelling Notebooks to school, please bring them back to class on Monday.
Our libarary session is on Monday afternoon, please bring back any overdue library books.

Cool Bananas will be at school again this Friday at 2.00pm.

Go the All Whites! Hopefully there will not be too many tired faces in Room 8 on Monday after the All Whites play Italy in their second soccer game in the early hours of Monday morning :)

Reminders

Cereal Box - We are currently analysing the ingredients in cereals to ascertain the fat, sugar and salt content in order to check out how healthy our cereals are. If you have any cereal boxes at home could you please bring these to school. Thank you to those who have already brought cereal boxes into school.

Reading Logs - Please remember to bring your Reading Log to school tomorrow.

Spelling Notebooks - these went home this afternoon. Bring notebooks back to school on Friday. Remember to find out the meaning of this week's "Fab Word".

Our writing programme this week has involved students writing Haiku Poems about water. Our writing is on display in Room 8. Haiku Poems have three lines and seventeen syllables.
